Is FC Barcelona finished after Messi?

FC Barcelona’s match against Deportivo Alavés saw the Catalan side win by two goals from the best player in their history: Lionel Messi.
The Argentine missed a penalty in the match but made up for actions by netting in the winner for the match. Not that goals justify his performance because they never have to.
Messi’s game has seen him become one of the best play makers in the world. The days of Xavi and Iniesta dominating the center midfield are over.
The seasons since the formers departure and the latter’s decline has seen Messi continually drop from his forward role into the midfield in order to create chances.
It is only two games into the season, but Messi has again become Barcelona’s most important player. Now more than ever, however, he is full of responsibility that he cannot share. Suarez, one of the top three strikers in the world, is out injured. Neymar has departed to PSG and his replacement has not arrived.
Dembélé will have to wait to make his debut for Barcelona, so Saturday's match saw Messi once again be in charge of Barcelona’s result. If the opponent was any more difficult with respect to Deportivo Alavés, Barcelona would have lost. Playing away from home and having the performance the rest of the Barcelona front line had would have been costly had they played a tougher team.
At the rate the team is going, any forward line is automatically made deadly because Messi is there. An attack of Messi, Deulofeu, and Vidal is still one of the best-attacking lines in the world; Messi makes everyone around him better. But, the midfield is still in need of dire improvement in the center.
Iniesta can create but he isn’t creating the chances he should. He has never be known for his statistics, but now they are non-existent. Rakitić can’t create too many chances either.
His work rate makes up for it, but it affects the team as a whole. Messi has to drop deep to create in order to fill the void and finish the chances.
If Messi was not playing today, the result would have been totally different. Messi is alone in this Barcelona team. Suarez, Dembélé, and a create center midfielder are needed more than ever.
If Messi gets injured, there is no way Barcelona can win a trophy. A solution from the board is needed fast. Messi cannot continue to save Barcelona forever.
