Neymar Talks Malaga Red Card And Messi Contract

Neymar has learned his lesson after getting sent off against Malaga costing him an appearance in El Clasico among other matches.

While Neymar has been excellent on the pitch, it’s the little things that have kept him off the pitch recently. Barcelona managed to win the most recent El Clasico encounter with Real Madrid thanks to the heroics of Lionel Messi. However, they played that match without the Brazilian star after a red card against Malaga forced a suspension. There are many things that the young Brazilian can take away from a mistake he made that nearly cost the team dearly. He talked about this and other things to beIN Sports.
Despite the red card, Barca officials were trying to appeal the ruling on the day off the match against Real Madrid. However, they decided that it was too late and it forced Neymar out of the match. He also talked about his conversation with Lionel Messi over the phone about the situation. The Brazilian mentioned the situation dealing with Messi’s contract as he enters the last year of his current deal.
Overall, Neymar has to be more careful in the situations with the referees for the rest of the season. Barca is playing in a cup final soon and the title race isn’t over yet. However, time is running out for Barca to make a late push. They’ll need some results to fall in their direction, but Neymar has to be on the pitch for Barca to be successful. We’ll see if another late run is in store.

Barcelona consider new approach to try and land Verratti?

Thought you’d heard the last of the Marco Verratti to Barcelona  saga? Well think again, because it seems this one still has plenty left to run, with the latest reports claiming a change of approach from Barca.
