Barca Teammate: Messi Makes Us Look Like Cones
France defender Samuel Umtiti is currently enjoying his first season at the Catalan club after moving from Ligue 1 side Lyon for £25 million (R437 million), and he has praised the Argentine for his hard work, explaining that he was taken aback at just how talented Messi is.
"He has so much ease on the ball," Umtiti said, as qouted by Sport.
"His talent is innate, although he works a lot. In training, he does things that are out of the normal.
"Sometimes he dribbles past everyone as if we were nothing more than cones, including me."
The Frenchman also spoke about club captain Andres Iniesta, who is fighting to get fit for this weekend's Clasico against Real Madrid.
"He has the art of making complicated things simple," Umtiti added.
"His vision of play is exceptional. He doesn't take it past an opponent with a dribble, like Neymar, but with a control."
The 23-year-old defender, who is currently struggling with a calf strain, has made 10 appearances for the Blaugrana this season.
