Neymar reveals why Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi should win this year's Ballon d'Or

Neymar insists Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi deserves to win this year's Ballon d'Or.
It is expected to be a straight shootout between the Argentine ace and Cristiano Ronaldo for the coveted award.
Real Madrid megastar Ronaldo is the favourite for the gong after last season's Champions League triumph, while he also captained Portugal to Euro 2016 glory.
However, Neymar insists it is Messi to should land the prize for a sixth time following Barcelona's La Liga title win.
The Brazilian told GOL: "I don't know who will win, for me there is only one who's the best, that's Messi.
"Ronaldo is a great player, he's world class and has been for many years and I respect him.
"But Messi is the one who deserves it, for me."
Ronaldo tops La Liga's scoring charts this season, netting 10 times - one more than his rival and Luis Suarez.
However, Messi has managed another nine in Europe, while the Portuguese has added two more to his tally.

Barca agree deal for Gremio’s Arthur.

Barcelona have a reached an agreement in principle with Brazilian club Gremio to sign midfielder Arthur next year in a deal worth up to 40 million euros ($49.2 million), according to reports in Spain on Wednesday. “FC Barcelona have taken an almost definitive step to seal the recruitment of Arthur,” wrote Catalan daily Sport, who reported the transfer fee would be 30 million euros with a further 10 million in bonuses. Mundo Deportivo claimed Barca director of football Robert Fernandez went to Porto Alegre “to seal the transfer of Arthur, with whom the club have reached a deal starting from January 2019”. The 21-year-old is expected to arrive during next season’s winter transfer window, although Madrid-based Marca suggested he could join the club this summer if Barca reduce the number of non-EU players in their squad. Barcelona consider new approach to try and land Verratti?

Thought you’d heard the last of the Marco Verratti to Barcelona  saga? Well think again, because it seems this one still has plenty left to run, with the latest reports claiming a change of approach from Barca. Instead of simply offering Paris Saint-Germain a huge amount of money for their midfielder, Sport claim Barca could instead offer cash plus a certain Ivan Rakitic.
